Manitoba’s own Femme Fiscale will make her first public appearance at the Legislature on Budget Day, March 6. The Femme Fiscale is Manitoba’s own superheroine, sporting platform for action boots to stamp out inequality and a toolbelt full of women’s rights implements. You’ll know her by her cape. Femme Fiscale’s mission is to hold government accountable for their commitments to women’s human rights. The Golden Boy may be the vision of the province, but Femme Fiscale is the conscience. This spandex-clad advocate is ready to receive the provincial budget and to analyse its impact on the poorest of Manitoba's citizens, women and children.
